Lighting the Way for the Season

This time of year, we all recognize the importance of a beautifully lit interior—for a party, a family gathering or just a festive moment for two. What’s harder to appreciate—yet no less vital to setting the mood for the season—is the lighting that greets us all before we even cross the threshold. Whether it’s on the front porch, adorning the front door or illuminating an entryway in the side or back, exterior lighting is both a welcome and a beacon, the glow that lets you know you’re right where you’re meant to be—for the evening or forever, whichever the case may be.

Below are some of our favorite examples of how an artfully chosen and rendered fixture can create the atmosphere for a holiday homecoming to remember.
